    Status

Partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA

    Accessibility statement.

We build technology that makes the world more accessible. It was essential that this website were too.

    Scope

This statement applies to the website navilens.com and all of its sub-pages operated by NaviLens. It does not cover native mobile apps or third-party services linked from the site.

    Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 (opens in a new tab) at Level AA, due to the non-conformities and exceptions listed below.

    Non-accessible content

The audit carried out on May 8, 2026 did not identify any failures of WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. The following optional Level AAA aspects are still under ongoing review:

    • Some secondary text uses opacities with a contrast ratio between 5.18:1 and 7:1 (meets AA but not AAA).
    • Third-party embedded videos may not include audio description (Level AAA criterion 1.2.5).

    Measures implemented

    • Semantic HTML5 structure with main, nav, header, footer and a heading hierarchy without skipped levels.
    • “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element.
    • Visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
    • Full keyboard navigation, including submenus, language switcher, interactive map and forms.
    • Map with an accessible alternative list for keyboard and screen reader users.
    • Forms with associated labels, persistent instructions, descriptive error messages and aria-live.
    • Textual notice and aria-label on every link that opens in a new tab.
    • Dynamic lang attribute that reflects the active language.
    • Respects prefers-reduced-motion: animations and smooth scrolling are disabled automatically.
    • Contrast measured on the design-system color pairs: primary text ink (#0A0A0A) on paper (#FBFBFA) ≈ 17:1 (AAA); secondary text whisper (#525252) on paper ≈ 7.6:1 (AAA). Meets WCAG 2.1 minimums (4.5:1 text, 3:1 components). Exceptions are listed above.
    • Responsive design works from 320 px and reflows correctly at 400% zoom.
    • Toasts and notifications without forced auto-dismiss timing.

    Evaluation methodology

    Conformance has been verified through:

    • Automated audit with axe-core (Deque) on 12 representative routes: 0 AA violations detected.
    • Contrast analysis of every text/background color pair in the design system.
    • Keyboard functional testing (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Esc, arrows) across every interactive component.
    • Manual inspection of semantic structure, ARIA, forms and dynamic messages.

    Reporting barriers
