Head of Design & UX · NaviLens
José Miguel Nicolás Gómez
Head of Design & UX at NaviLens. Designs the visual and interaction experience of the app and NaviLens signage in physical environments.
José Miguel Nicolás Gómez is a designer and writer at NaviLens, where he leads the editorial line on universal design, inclusive wayfinding, accessible typography and visual culture. His work connects design theory with project practice: from principle on paper to the sign on the wall.
Before joining NaviLens, he worked as a graphic and signage designer in identity and wayfinding studios, with projects for museums, cultural centres and public administrations. That dual perspective —execution and narrative— shapes his articles: real examples, cross-checked references and useful takeaways for design, marketing and product teams.
He is particularly drawn to Ron Mace’s seven principles, the work of Pentagram, Applied Wayfinding, Paul Mijksenaar and Per Mollerup, and the underlying question: who exactly are we designing for when we say we design for everyone?
