Bringing the joy of mess to more people — kitchen roll that announces itself in 42 languages.
Plenty (Essity) is an official NaviLens partner. The codes are printed on Plenty kitchen roll packs (Original, Flexisheets, Infinity) so blind and partially sighted shoppers can locate the product on shelf and hear type, roll count, sheets, ply, sustainability claims and recycling instructions — without touching or focusing on the pack.

Plenty · Essity
Plenty is the kitchen roll brand of Swedish group Essity, one of the world's largest hygiene and health multinationals (TENA, Tork, Cushelle, Tempo). Plenty is a benchmark in the UK kitchen aisle thanks to its absorbency and its Original, Flexisheets and Infinity formats.
As part of its commitment to inclusion, Plenty has partnered with NaviLens to make packaging information accessible to blind and partially sighted shoppers, communicating it on a dedicated page on its website ("Plenty X NaviLens: Bringing the joy of mess to more people than ever").
- 01
Telling kitchen rolls apart on shelf
Kitchen rolls look very similar at home-aisle level: telling 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 rolls, Original vs Flexisheets vs Infinity, or sheet count was almost impossible for a blind shopper without help.
- 02
Dense technical info in tiny print
Each pack mixes roll count, sheets per roll, ply, absorbency claims, sustainability claims (compostable sheets, 55% recycled plastic packaging) and recycling instructions — all visually.
- 03
Real inclusion, not a one-off campaign
Plenty wanted accessibility to be a permanent feature on core packs, inside the existing industrial print flow, with no time-to-shelf penalty.
NaviLens codes are printed directly onto Plenty packaging inside the existing industrial print flow — no redesign, no line stops. The free NaviLens and NaviLens GO apps detect the code up to 12 times further away than a standard QR, at angles up to 160°, in 1/30 of a second and under any lighting condition, with no focusing needed.
On scan, the app reads out product name (Original / Flexisheets / Infinity), roll and sheet count, ply, absorbency claims, packaging materials, certifications and recycling instructions in the user's language — up to 42 languages.
“Bringing the joy of mess to more people than ever. It's only right that everyone has the opportunity to mop up life's many messes, visually impaired people included. That's why Plenty is proud to be a partner of NaviLens.”
